Western Chemical In the News PRESS RELEASE: Ferndale Washington, June 8, 2009 Subject: Jerry Zinn to join Aquatic Life Sciences Jim Brackett, DVM, president of Aquatic Life Sciences Inc., (which includes Western Chemical and Syndel Laboratories) is pleased to announce that Jerry Zinn has joined the company as Key Account Manager. Mr. Zinn will provide sales and service to the company’s customers in the USA and Canada. According to Dr. Brackett, “Jerry has a long history in aquaculture and his extensive knowledge and reputation will be valuable as Aquatic Life Sciences continues to expand in North America”. Mr. Zinn received his BSc in Fishery Biology from Oregon State University and went on to work with the Oregon Fish Commission, and Oregon State University’s Microbiology Fish Disease Lab. He has worked in the Idaho trout industry for Clear Lakes Trout Farm, and he has also been a contract trout grower at which time he and his wife Kathie reared over 500,000 lbs of trout per year. Mr. Zinn contributions to fish vaccines started in 1976 when he joined Wildlife Vaccines, the pioneer in fish vaccine production, where he was Manager of Technical Field Services. There he was involved in licensing the first USDA/APHIS fish vaccine for the Aquaculture Industry. The Zinn’s incorporated as Aqua Health USA, Inc., a counterpart of Aqua Health Ltd. Canada, in 1992 where he was responsible for distribution of the company’s fish vaccines in the United States. More recently he was employed as the US Territory Manager for Novartis Animal Health.
